FAQ

What is the best time of year to fish?

In Florida we enjoy great weather, and  trophy bass can be caught all year round. In  the Summer months June - September, it is good to get an early start to the day to avoid the high temperatures and high humidity.

Your guide will have a good idea about what the bass are doing  and where they are if significant  weather patterns and lows are moving through. All cold fronts  generally slows the fish down but never make it impossible to catch some  fish. During Spawning around April-May is when the largest fish are caught.

What if the weather is bad - can I cancel my trip?

Bad weather in Florida is normally not a problem, but safety is the most important thing at Revolution. If the weather forecast for the time of you trip is severe thunder storms or lightning we will try to reschedule your trip.

We still operate in light  rain or cold weather. We accept cancellations up to 24 hours in advance, but if you wake up and don't wish to fish on the morning of your scheduled trip  then we consider you a no show and you will forfeit your payment..

If you cancel in line with our general terms and conditions  i.e. more than 24 hours in advance then a full refund less 10% administration fee is payable.

The lake at Revolution is one of the safest lakes in Central Florida and If severe weather approaches the area we can be off the lake in less than 5 minutes.

What should i bring for a bass fishing trip?

Most important; Sunscreen  sunglasses and a hat. The Florida sun can be tough on your skin even in winter, so we highly recommend sun protection.

Bring a camera if you wish although we will take some shots of you  which you can see before you leave and purchase in the reception if you wish. We accept no responsibility for anything you may lose in the lake including phones cameras, sunglasses or wallets.

If there is a chance of rain, you might consider rain gear, or at least bring some extra clothes you can change into after the trip. We do not carry food on our boat so you may wish to bring a snack with you.

What time of day should we start?

The answer  is generally  "as early as possible”, because the bass like to hunt just after sunrise. The afternoon. fishing is better after noon and  we suggest that you time your booking to end at sunset.

Will you guarantee that we will catch fish?

It is not often that we don’t catch any fish, but it does happen. Any guide who will tell you otherwise is stretching the truth. NO angler has not tried to come back with an empty live well after a day on the lake. In the latest World Bass Fishing Championship featuring the worlds top 50 bass anglers, 6 anglers did not put a fish on the scoreboard on the first day. Some days are just tough, but every day is enjoyable, and at Revolution Bass Fishing we have fun in the sun every day of the year. A bad day at the lake, is often better than a good day at the office.
